The base price for Butko olives in Artvin has been set at 300 TL.

The Artvin Trade Exchange held a "Price Determination and Recommendation Commission" meeting ahead of the 2025-2026 olive harvest season. At the meeting, the base price for Butko olives, a local product of Artvin, was announced as 300 TL. Village heads, producers, and sector representatives attended the meeting. Speaking at the program, Artvin Trade Exchange Board Chairman Osman Akyürek noted that olive production in the region has been an important source of livelihood from the past to the present and said that support for producers continues. Akyürek mentioned the efforts being made to revive the olive production, which was damaged due to dam projects, by stating, "We are continuing the production and distribution of olive saplings in cooperation with the Forest District Directorate and National Parks.
