Poland's dairy sector is facing challenges due to border restrictions with Ukraine, which accounts for 3% of all Polish exports, including ripe cheeses, cheese, and yogurts. Despite an increase in imports from Ukraine, Poland maintains a positive trade balance. The sector is also impacted by ongoing agrarian protests in Poland and the EU, largely blamed on Russia and large retail chains. In 2023, the total value of all Polish exports to Ukraine reached a record 51.7 billion zlotys.
