The Government of the Russian Federation has approved an additional tariff quota for the export of wheat, meslin, barley, and corn in the amount of 5 million tons, which will be in effect until June 30, 2026. The document is available to TASS. This concerns the export of grain crops outside the EAEU. This decision will help support farmers - they will be able to additionally supply their products abroad. The volume of the tariff quota will be distributed by the Ministry of Agriculture in an application-based manner. At the same time, the decision will not harm the domestic market - there is enough production for it, and the volume of the gross grain harvest has been adjusted by Rosstat upwards (to 141.2 million tons). This concerns the export of grain crops outside the EAEU. Moreover, the tariff quotas do not apply to the export of products for providing international humanitarian aid to foreign states based on government decisions. The main quota for the export of grain from February 15 to June 30 amounts to 20 million tons. It was determined by the cabinet at the end of last year, taking into account forecast indicators.
