The Cereales Alcamancha cooperative has planted camelina in two of its plots in Valparaíso de Abajo, Cuenca, as part of the European 4CE-MED project. The project aims to inform members about camelina's agronomic management and the benefits of conservation agriculture, offering profitable rotation alternatives. The cooperative has also introduced lavandin cultivation and is planning training sessions for farmers. The first campaign has sown 12 hectares of camelina, advised by experts from Camelina Company Spain, the Spanish Association of Conservation Agriculture, and Agro-alimentary Cooperatives of Spain. Soil and seed samples were collected for analysis and training actions for farmers are soon to be held.
