A Vietnamese delegation, led by Ambassador Le Quang Long and including Yamila, Vice President of the Cuban Small Farmers Association, visited Cuba to pay respects to President Ho Chi Minh and explore ways to strengthen the already strong friendship between Vietnam and Cuba. The delegation also visited the Juan Bruno Zayas Agricultural Cooperative in Havana, the largest of its kind in the city, with 66 hectares managed by three households. The cooperative, which is part of a network of similar models in Cuba, is facing challenges due to the effects of the embargo, lack of agricultural mechanization, and difficulty accessing credit from international banks. In response, the Chairman of the Vietnam Farmers' Association, Luong Quoc Doan, expressed appreciation for the cooperative's management and development and shared the difficulties and challenges the cooperative is facing, noting that Vietnam has similar cooperative models and is encouraging their construction and development through various policies and guidelines.
