(Agraria.pe) The growth of Peruvian fruit trees continues to show highly positive prospects and the promise of a significant economic impact in the future. This is now evident in the case of cherimoya, which reached exports totaling US$401,500 in 2024, marking a 29.6% increase compared to the US$309,700 achieved in 2023. This was revealed by analyst Martín Garay, who states that "this substantial growth confirms the consolidation of this product in international markets." He particularly highlighted the results achieved in May of last year, when the highest export value was reached at US$87,700, a value 66.7% higher than that achieved in the same month in 2023 (US$52,600). He also noted that the value per kilo increased from US$2.65 in 2023 to US$2.94 in 2024, which also demonstrates the positive appreciation of the product.
