The demand for dragon fruit in India is large, with the country currently importing 95% of its supply from Thailand, Malaysia, and Vietnam. Bilateral trade between Vietnam and India has seen significant growth, reaching 11.2 billion USD in 2021. The Vietnam Trade Office in India recommends connecting and exchanging with partner countries to expand the fruit consumption market. The Department of Crop Production in Vietnam is committed to managing growing areas to ensure quality and food safety. The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development in Vietnam plans to organize forums to expand the domestic market for dragon fruit to avoid dependence on the Chinese market.
