The 2021 grape harvest in Huelva has yielded a total of 25 million kilos, marking a significant increase from the previous year's production of 13.5 million kilos. The quality of the grapes is reportedly excellent, contributing to the production of wines with extremely good quality. The harvest began in late July and concluded in early October, with red grape varieties being collected from August to September. The white grape variety, Zalema, accounted for 95% of the production, although this represented a 19% decrease compared to normal campaigns. The PDO Condado de Huelva is optimistic about the forecasts, which had anticipated a production similar to that of 2019.
