In 2020, Spain experienced a slight decrease in the export volume of cured hams, totaling 47,061.9 tons, which resulted in a revenue increase of 1.8% compared to the previous year, reaching 460.9 million euros. The average price per kilogram in the European Union was 9.1 euros, while in third countries, it was 12.3 euros. The United Kingdom, Sweden, and China were the most attractive markets. The export of bone-in ham experienced a decline, while boneless ham and other factioned presentations saw an increase in value and average price. The Consorcio del Jamón Serrano Spanish (CJSE) notes that undeclared exports and private consumption may also contribute to the export figures.
