The Minister of Jihad for Agriculture in a move to liberalize the export of non-productive livestock has stipulated that the country's livestock support company can now export non-productive live cattle, subject to price balance between production and consumption. However, the Managing Director of the Central Union of Light Livestock has raised concerns about the decision, pointing out ambiguities and questioning the Ministry's inability to maintain price balance in the local market. He also highlighted that the decision does not provide adequate support for producers and suggested the need for a mechanism to facilitate domestic purchases to stabilize the market and prevent producer losses.
