Jordan: The decrease in the price of chicken and the increase in the price of table eggs

In the third quarter of this year, the prices for broiler chickens at the farm door fell by 6.9 percent, reaching 0.95 dinars per kilogram, a decrease from 1.02 dinars per kilogram in the same quarter last year. Conversely, the prices for table eggs produced on farming sites saw a significant increase of 46.7 percent, with farm door prices rising to 1.25 dinars per dozen from 0.86 dinars in the same quarter last year. The Department of Statistics also reported a notable surge in chicken meat production, with a 32.2 percent increase in the third quarter of this year, reaching 79.3 thousand tons compared to 60 thousand tons in the same period last year.
