The HoReCa coffee market in Central and Eastern Europe has rebounded post-pandemic, with revenues expected to reach 217.4 million euros in 2023, surpassing 2019 levels. Despite a 17.0% contraction in Hungary due to inflation and lower real wages, growth has been observed in Croatia, driven by tourism spending. The market is largely dominated by whole bean coffee, which is projected to account for 93.5% of the market by 2027. Major market players include Atlantic Grupa, Franck, Jacobs Douwe Egberts, Julius Meinl and Lavazza, but smaller players also hold a significant market share in the HoReCa segment.
