The European Commission has approved Spain's application for inclusion in the Register of Protected Designations of Origin (PDO) of wines from the Uruenya region, as well as Hungary's request for entry in the Register of Protected Geographical Indications (PGI) of a special variety of carrots from the Fertoud region . Uruenya combines wines produced from grape varieties grown in the municipality of the same name, located in the province of Valladolid, and the area is ideal for viticulture and presents environmental conditions very favorable for the production of quality wines.
