In the first half of the 2020/21 marketing year, rapeseed imports by EU countries decreased by 6% compared to the previous year, totaling 3.53 million tons. The majority of these imports were received by the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, and France, with Ukraine and Canada being the main suppliers, contributing 60% and 34% of the imports, respectively. However, EU rapeseed exports saw a decrease, while rapeseed oil imports were reduced by 16% to 149 thousand tons, with Poland being the main importer. On the other hand, EU rapeseed oil exports experienced a significant increase of 92% compared to the previous year, with Germany and Belgium being the main exporters.
