To ensure the capacity for processing corn into bioethanol, 3 million tons of corn are needed annually, said Taras Mykolaienko, director of the Ukrainian Bioethanol Producers Association, at the conference "Conducting Agribusiness in Ukraine," as reported by Elevatorist.com with reference to Interfax-Ukraine. Currently, in Ukraine, only about 1 million tons of capacity is being built in industrial parks. "Whenever a new industrial park is being created, bioethanol production is planned in every second one. Only the capacities that are starting to lay the foundation amount to 1 million tons. If we translate (these figures are from IF-Ukraine) into corn, then 3 million tons are needed.
