The European Commission presented a proposal on August 21 to recognize hemp flower as an agricultural crop – a move that could prove historic for the sector. If approved, the decision will allow hemp farmers to benefit from subsidies and grants under the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP), as well as to receive better export conditions within and outside the EU, writes businessofcannabis.com.
