The European Commission (EC) has extended the authorization for vineyard planting and replanting in EU member states affected by adverse weather conditions such as drought and excessive rainfall, which were reported by Spain, Italy, France, and other EU countries. The extension will allow member states to define the wine-growing regions affected by these conditions and to report their status by March 31, 2025. Additionally, the regulation exempts producers from certain obligations to mitigate the effects of reduced production.
