The export duty on sunflower oil will increase by 36.5%

The export duty on sunflower oil in January 2026 will be 9298 rubles/ton, which is 36.5% more than in December. For sunflower meal, the Ministry of Agriculture set a zero duty—for the first time since October 2022. The indicative prices for January are $1,200/ton for oil ($1,169/ton a month ago) and $195.7/ton for meal ($210.9/ton). According to the monitoring of the analytical company "ProZerno", last Friday a ton of Russian sunflower oil cost $1,220, but due to military actions in the Black Sea region, the price rose slightly to $1,280/ton. According to the December forecast of the Foreign Agricultural Service of the US Department of Agriculture (FAS USDA), this season Russia will become the largest supplier of sunflower oil on the world market with shipments of 4.4 million tons (4.2 million tons a year earlier).
