The export of vegetable oil decreased by 14%.

According to analysts from the agency OleoScope, for the first four months of the 2025/26 season (September-December 2025), Russia exported 2.28 million tons of vegetable oils—14% less than in the same period a year earlier. Specifically, exports of sunflower oil decreased by 27% to 1.44 million tons, soybean oil increased by 5% to 228 thousand tons, and rapeseed oil rose by 34% to 605 thousand tons. The main buyers of sunflower oil during this period were India (479 thousand tons), Turkey (300 thousand tons), and Belarus (140 thousand tons). India (122 thousand tons) and Algeria (63 thousand tons) lead in purchases of Russian soybean oil. China became the key importer of rapeseed oil with a share of over 90%.
