An investigation by the Competition Authority in Turkey is ongoing into allegations of market dominance and monopoly practices by the Italian company Ferrero in the hazelnut market. The investigation follows a complaint by Mehmet Hilmi Güler and discussions between Metin Gündoğdu, the AK Party deputy, and the Minister of Trade, Mehmet Muş. Gündoğdu highlighted the potential for heavy fines if the authority finds any competition disruption.
