Russia: The first batch of beet pulp from Tatarstan in 2023 went to China

The branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Center for Grain Quality Assessment" in the Republic of Tatarstan received an application to establish a quarantine status for 1,612 tons of beet pulp intended for export to the People's Republic of China. Specialists from the testing laboratory tested the samples for the presence of harmful quarantine organisms and issued phytosanitary certificates. Based on the results of the examination, it was found that all samples meet the requirements of the importing country. Beet pulp is a product obtained as a result of the production of beet sugar, which is beet chips cleared of sugar. It is a good source of feed for cattle and is nutritionally comparable to corn silage. It is recommended to give it to animals in combination with enzyme preparations or enzyme probiotics due to its high fiber content.
