The Kursk Region in Russia is strategically focusing on boosting its agricultural exports by doubling the figures from the previous year, with a set target of USD 181.8 million for 2021. The region has successfully met its sugar beet sowing plan by 100%, covering 92 thousand hectares, and has already started exporting the first batches of the 2021 harvest. The exports primarily consist of fodder such as granulated beet pulp and fodder maize, with a significant portion being shipped to Latvia. In 2020, over 74 thousand tons of granulated sugar beet pulp were exported to Latvia and Lithuania, meeting the quality and safety standards set by the recipient countries.
