The first grape festival was held in Surkhandarya region Uzbekistan

On October 10, 2022, a grape festival was held in the Altynsay district of the Surkhandarya region of Uzbekistan, where grape varieties produced in this region and products of its processing were presented: table and technical varieties, various types of raisins (dried grapes), grape concentrates, juices, as well as the whole range grape wines. In this region of the country, the grape festival is held for the first time, according to EastFruit experts. Altynsay district was not chosen by chance to host the first grape festival in the Surkhandarya region, it is a kind of driver for the development of viticulture in this region. This region accounts for about 44% of all vineyards in the region and approximately 43% of the total volume of table and industrial grapes produced in the region.
