Flower trade is expected to register a 7% growth this All Souls' Day compared to last year, according to an estimate by the Brazilian Institute of Floriculture (Ibraflor). The celebration, which this year falls on a Sunday, tends to boost visits to cemeteries and also expand tributes at home or in places frequented by loved ones. The date represents about 3% of the sector's annual revenue in the country. "People want to feel close to those who have passed away," explains Renato Opitz, director of Ibraflor. "The market has been adapting. Today, we suggest various ways to pay tribute: whether with bouquets, vases, or ornamental plants.
