Russia: The government approved the introduction of a grain export quota

The Russian Government supported the proposal of the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Economic Development to introduce a tariff quota for the export of basic grains. This is stated in a message from the Cabinet of Ministers. In particular, it will affect wheat, corn, rye and barley. This measure will be launched from February 15 to June 30 next year. Its volume for the specified period will be 24 million tons. However, it will not apply to supplies to the EAEU countries. This proposal from the departments was supported by the government Subcommittee on Customs, Tariff and Non-Tariff Regulation and Protective Measures in Foreign Trade.
