The government approves the establishment of "Arko Seeds" for the local production of vegetable and fruit seeds.

During a meeting chaired by Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, the Cabinet approved the licensing for the Agricultural Research Center under the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation to establish a new Egyptian joint-stock company named "Arko Seeds," to operate in the field of producing seeds for vegetables and fruits, alongside other activities linked to the agricultural sector. The company will be established in partnership with the Future of Egypt for Sustainable Development, the Agricultural Bank of Egypt, the National Company for Protected Industries, and several private sector companies specializing in this field. The establishment of "Arko Seeds" aims to meet local needs for vegetable and fruit seeds, in line with the directives of the President of the Republic to expand local seed production, thereby reducing the import gap, decreasing dependence on foreign markets, and enhancing self-sufficiency in agricultural production inputs. ...
