Lotfi Raouf, Indonesia's ambassador in Cairo, said that his country is one of the largest importers of Egyptian dates in the world, stressing that the Corona virus crisis has undoubtedly affected the decline in export rates worldwide. This came during his statements on the sidelines of the tour of the Ministers of Industry, Supply, Agriculture and Local Development in The New Valley Governorate for the inauguration of a number of productive projects, as well as the first marketing forum for dates held in the valley. Raouf stressed that in light of the strength of relations between Egypt and Indonesia in all fields, Indonesia’s exports of Egyptian dates will witness steady increases during the coming period.
