The government has introduced a series of measures, including allowing affected farmers to obtain interest-free loans for five years in the short term, to help them avoid bankruptcy. In the medium term, national and local governments will investigate the causes of the mass deaths of this popular product, which is known as "milk of the sea" in Japan due to its high calcium content. In the long term, plans are in place to conduct research related to different oyster farming methods based on changes in the environment around the farms and to assist in the installation of necessary equipment.
