The key countries-importers of cheeses to Ukraine are named

In 2020, Ukraine experienced a significant surge in cheese imports, with a 97% increase to 46.8 thousand tons from the previous year's 23.7 thousand tons, as reported by the Ukrainian Club of Agrarian Business. The import structure saw varied increases across categories, with other cheeses making up 56% of imports, fresh cheeses at 26%, processed cheeses at 13%, blue cheeses at 4.5%, and grated or powdered cheeses at 0.5%. This surge was largely attributed to the high domestic cost of raw materials. The top cheese exporters to Ukraine were Poland, Germany, France, The Netherlands, and Italy, contributing 48%, 20%, 8%, 7%, and 4% of the imports, respectively.
