From August 2021 to mid-January 2022, Georgia experienced a 28% increase in hazelnut exports, reaching 18.2 thousand tons with a total value of $83.2 million, as reported by the Ministry of Agriculture. The majority of these exports were directed to European markets, including Italy, Germany, and Spain, but also found their way to countries such as China, Russia, and Saudi Arabia, with the total export volume and value increasing by 3.9 thousand tons and $8.1 million respectively compared to the previous year.
