Researchers in Argentina have initiated a network to analyze the quality of soybean grains collected from various regions, with a focus on measuring protein, oil, and other quality factors. The results show that the protein content ranged from 34.7% to 37.2%, with a national average of 35.6%, and the oil content varied from 20.1% to 23.4%, with a national average of 22.3%. Santa Fe was found to have the highest oil content, while NOA and Buenos Aires South had the highest protein content. The national average for the sum of five essential amino acids was higher than the previous campaign and literature reviews. The research aims to provide quality assessment of Argentine soybeans compared to neighboring countries and will continue to study the amino acid profiles of soybean samples.
