The Ministry of Agriculture has reported that the fishing markets in the Mediterranean provinces of Almería, Granada, Málaga, and part of Cádiz caught approximately 4.5 million kilos of fish and billed around 21 million euros from January to May. The total average price of the products was €4.50 during this period. The majority of the activity was in the South Atlantic area, with a billing of over 57 million euros from the sale of 13 million kilos of products, at an average price of €3.70. The total turnover of the fishing markets in the Andalusian autonomous community exceeded 68 million euros from January to May, with the sale of around 17 million kilos of shellfish, fish, and molluscs.
