(Boseong=Yonhap News) Reporter Yeo Un-chang = The 49th Boseong Tea Festival will be held from May 1 to May 5 at the Korean Tea Culture Park in Boseong County, Jeollanam-do. According to Boseong County on the 13th, this year's festival will be held under the theme "Boseong Tea! Embrace youth! Embrace the world!" by the festival promotion committee. While the festival has so far highlighted "Boseong tea" comprehensively, this year it will focus on "matcha," which is currently causing a global craze, at the forefront of the festival. As matcha spreads as a health, gourmet, and cultural trend, related demand is also increasing rapidly, so programs are being prepared considering multinational visitors. The festival's representative events include the Afternoon Tea Garden (Grand Tea Party), Tea Olympics, Green Concert, and Boseong Tea Master Cup, and new programs that can showcase the identity of the Boseong Tea Festival will also be added. Programs utilizing Boseong's symbol, the tea garden, are planned, and a balanced composition of experience, exhibition, performance, and healing programs is intended.
