Minister Song received a report on the status of highly pathogenic avian influenza (AI) and African swine fever (ASF) outbreaks, barrier prevention measures, wild boar management, and foot-and-mouth disease vaccine inoculation status at the Anseong City disaster control center on the same day. Minister Song emphasized, "Managing the movement of people, vehicles, and items is most important, especially in concentrated laying hen areas," and requested, "Thoroughly report and disinfect vehicles and personnel entering and exiting large-scale laying hen farms and concentrated areas, and continue to operate dedicated officials until February to ensure there are no blind spots in prevention." Minister Song also visited Anseong City's central cleaning and disinfection facilities to inspect disinfection procedures, methods, and operational status, and stressed, "Please ensure that cross-contamination does not occur through thorough disinfection." Minister Song urged, "During the Lunar New Year holiday, related agencies and local governments should maintain a 24-hour response system and do their best with inspections, disinfection, and checks," and also urged to strengthen public promotion, such as refraining from visiting livestock farms and migratory bird arrival sites.
