As part of the national strategy to boost the agricultural economy and improve market access conditions for small and medium producers, the Ministry of Agrarian and Irrigation Development (Midagri) inaugurated a decentralized Agromercado headquarters in the Ica region. This is a new space that will offer specialized technical services to farmers from the provinces of Ica, Chincha, Pisco, Nasca, and Palpa, with the aim of connecting local products with regional, national, and international markets, incorporating added value and competitiveness criteria. The office will be located on block 3 of Luis Medina Street, in the San Miguel neighborhood of the city of Ica, which has been implemented as a technical and commercial articulation center for productive chains with high potential, including lima beans, pecans, avocados, citrus, mangoes, pomegranates, cotton, and bee honey.
