The Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan) has recorded that 25,097 breeding cows have been brought into Indonesia as of July 10, 2025. This step is part of the acceleration of the National Milk and Meat Production Increase Program (P2SDN).
"We report that we have realized the commitment of cow imports as of July 10, 2025. For breeding cows, this reaches 25,097 head," said the Director General of Livestock and Animal Health at the Ministry of Agriculture, Agung Suganda, in Probolinggo, East Java, on Tuesday (15/7/2025).
Of this number, 11,375 head are dairy cows imported by 60 business actors. Meanwhile, 13,722 head are breeding beef cattle from 30 business actors.
