Vice Minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan, Aidarbek Saparov, and the Executive Director of Al-Reef Al-Tholathy Mohammed Nasser Almukeirish from Saudi Arabia's largest food production company, discussed potential cooperation. This includes Saudi businessmen's participation in Kazakhstan's Sheep Breeding Development Fund, aiming to boost the supply of Kazakh meat, especially mutton and lamb, to Arab states, especially the Persian Gulf countries. The funds from the project will be used to support domestic sheep farmers. Throughout 2022, Kazakh livestock breeders have exported 29.7 thousand tons of meat, with the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Oman, and Bahrain being the main consumers of Kazakh mutton.
