The Ministry of Agriculture proposed to introduce a temporary ban on the export of sugar in Russia

The Russian Ministry of Agriculture has proposed establishing a temporary ban on the export of sugar from the country. The corresponding bill was published on the portal of draft regulatory legal acts. We are talking about the export of cane and beet sugar, as well as chemically pure sucrose in the solid state. The supply restriction will be in effect from the date the bill comes into force until August 31 of the current year. The bill recently began undergoing public comment.
