The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development in Vietnam is taking steps to compensate for the decreased export of agricultural products to China due to its strict Covid-19 import regulations. The ministry is encouraging the export of agricultural products to the EU, UK, and Japan, and is working to remove barriers for rice bran, tapioca starch, and dried cassava exports to China. The ministry is also developing a strategy to manage agricultural production in the face of weather conditions and the Covid-19 epidemic, and is addressing technical difficulties and logistical infrastructure issues at the borders. It is also collaborating with Vietnam's Trade Counselors abroad to support the export of agricultural products to major markets.
