The National Strategic Cadmium Agenda for the cultivation of avocado and asparagus for 2025-2030 has been approved.

By Ministerial Resolution No. 0038-2026-Midagri, the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation approved the "National Strategic Agenda – Cadmium AEN 2025-2030 for the cultivation of avocado and asparagus." The General Directorate of Agricultural Development and Agroecology will be responsible for the articulation, coordination, and monitoring of the implementation of the National Strategic Agenda. Likewise, the implementation of the National Strategic Agenda – Cadmium AEN 2025-2030 for the cultivation of avocado and asparagus will be carried out within the framework of the competencies and functions of the involved entities, subject to budget availability and financed from the institutional budget of each item, without demanding additional resources from the Public Treasury.
