The Jeonnam Headquarters of the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation (Head: Lee Kwang-il) and Mokpo Prison (Warden: Kim Nam-jin) held a chili farm labor assistance event on the 24th in Gongsan-myeon, Naju, with around 20 people in attendance, including Boramae Service Corps members, Naju City Branch Head of Jehae Middle School, and Gosan Agricultural Cooperative Chairman Kim Seung-bae. The rural labor assistance involved tasks such as removing supports and cleaning up farming waste like plastic and ropes in chili fields after the harvest. The 'Boramae Service Corps' is composed of model prisoners and those scheduled for parole, and is an organization operated by prisons and detention centers under the Ministry of Justice with the aim of contributing to the local community through service activities. The Jeonnam Headquarters of the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation also operates in Suncheon, Mokpo, Jangheung, and Haenam prisons within the province.
