The Spanish olive oil value chain will share information as a mechanism to control product quality, in an attempt to put an end to the controversy over fraud accusations that shook the sector a year ago. The secretary of the interprofessional organization for Spanish olive oil, Rafael Sánchez de Puerta, highlighted this Thursday in a meeting with journalists the agreement reached last month in that organization to launch a quality excellence program for olive oil, at the proposal of the trade associations Anierac and Asoliva.
