The Spanish pig industry is experiencing growth in Chile, driven by high per capita pork consumption and a reliance on imports. Spain is the fourth largest supplier of pork to Chile, and Spanish charcuterie enjoys a competitive advantage in the market due to its pricing and product variety. The Spanish Interprofessional Agrifood Organization for White-Coated Pigs (INTERPORC) is running a campaign in Chile to promote the quality and sustainability of Spanish pork derivatives, with support from ICEX Spain Export and Investment.
