The National Camellia Industry Development Conference revealed that China's planting area for Camellia oleifera is 68 million mu, with 14 million mu being high-yield forest. The country's camellia oil output has risen to 627,000 tons. The central government has increased policy support for the industry, leading to expansion in planting area and output. Since 2019, 3.64 million mu of low-yield and low-efficiency oil-tea camellia forests have been transformed, resulting in a 4 to 10 times increase in oil yield per mu. This has also effectively reduced poverty near 2 million and increased income.
