The Port of Gdansk in Poland is actively handling grain cargo operations, with over 115 ships serviced this year, primarily exporting grain to various European countries. Approximately 764 thousand tons of grain have been reloaded since the start of the year, supplementing the 1.9 million tons passed through the port in 2022. A significant challenge for transportation arises due to the need to export large grain stocks stored in Poland, necessitating the development of new traffic rules and buffer zones for trucks to efficiently manage the increased traffic. The port's handling capacity is currently estimated at 300,000 tons per month, equating to an annual turnover of 3.6 million tons.
