Indonesia is facing a problem of high egg production but low consumption, leading to unstable prices. The country's egg consumption per capita is low and the national stunting rate is still high. The uneven distribution of national egg production, due to the country's geographical conditions, also contributes to the price fluctuations. Setyo Wasisto of PT Widodo Makmur Perkasa suggests a strategy to increase consumption and stabilize prices. He advocates for the establishment of an egg processing factory in the country. Supriyadi, Director of the Food, Marine Products and Fisheries Industry, stated that Indonesia is set to have an egg surplus of around 200 thousand tons in 2021. Ali Usman of PATAKA has called for the encouragement of the egg processing industry to create long-term price stability. Domestic business actors are ready to process the surplus eggs into frozen liquid eggs.
