There are few labor sectors in which the parity between men and women is evidenced with more or less strength. The agri-industrial sector does not escape that logic and, although there is still a long way to go, some improvements have been recorded. Out of the 4.2 million people employed by the agri-food chains and their related services, 1.2 million agricultural workers are women, that is, female workers. This was confirmed by a survey carried out by the Agricultural Foundation for the Development of Argentina (FADA) and the Civil Association Las Chicas del Agro, which showed that over the last 5 years more than 200,000 women were added to the sector, including producers, technicians, engineers, and entrepreneurs. Despite being celebrated by the economists behind the calculation, the figure is far from being ideal.
