The price of coffee in international futures markets remains high at the beginning of September after registering a sharp escalation during the month of August.
According to the financial portal Trading Economics, arabica coffee futures are trading on average around 385 U.S. cents per pound (0.45 kilos) this Wednesday, after registering a high last Monday, September 1, of 396.60 U.S. cents/pound.
A month earlier, on August 1, its price was 282.75 U.S. cents/pound.
Its lowest price so far in 2025 was recorded last July 7 (276.01 U.S. cents/pound) and the two highest peaks, on April 28 (410.14 U.S. cents/pound) and February 13 (432.18 U.S. cents/pound).
According to Trading Economics, a technical correction has occurred in the early days of September after the strong gains in August.
However, it has added, "the outlook remains bullish due to concerns..."
