Antigua and Barbuda: The price of cow milk continued to rise in November

Last November there was a new rise in the weighted average price of cow's milk, which stood at 0.36 euros / liter, compared to 0.35 euros in October and 0.34 in November 2020, according to provisional data from the dairy sector information system (Infolac) of the Ministry of Agriculture. Despite this, it remains below the 0.40 euros / liter that according to farmers should be paid for milk to cover the increasing costs of production. Deliveries in that month grew 1.1% compared to November 2020 and the accumulated for the first eleven months of 2021 reached 6.85 million tons, 0.9% more than in the same period of the previous year. The number of farmers with deliveries decreased again. It stood at 11,475 producers, compared to 11,572 in October and 12,170 in January.
