In 2024, the average price of a hectare of arable land in the EU was estimated at 15,224 euros (approximately 18,000 dollars), which represents an increase of 6.1% compared to 2023, when that average value stood at 14,343 euros. Meanwhile, the average annual rental price for arable land and permanent pastures was estimated at 295 euros or about 350 dollars per hectare, which represents an increase of 6.4% compared to 2023 (277 euros). This information comes from the data on agricultural land prices and rentals published this week by Eurostat, the European statistical office.
